Terms of Service

The ground rules for using Policy Eagle: explore the public record, keep your account secure, and verify important decisions with official sources.

01The service and this agreement

Together, Not For operates Policy Eagle. These terms are the agreement for registered account features. Public access to this page does not create a recorded account acceptance. The Privacy Policy explains data practices separately from these terms.

Policy Eagle helps people explore legislative records, track bills, and request notifications. It is an independent service, not a government agency, and does not imply an official endorsement.

02Your account

Provide accurate account details, keep your sign-in methods secure, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized use.

Account features require an affirmative acceptance of the applicable terms. If you do not accept a later required version, you can still read legal notices, sign out, unsubscribe, and use available privacy export and deletion controls.

03Verify important information

Legislative information can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Links, status labels, summaries, votes, and notifications do not replace the authoritative government source. Independently verify bill text, effective dates, votes, deadlines, and other information important to your decisions.

Policy Eagle provides general information, not legal, financial, or professional advice. Email delivery and notification timing depend on processing schedules and outside providers; an alert is not a promise that you will learn about an event before a vote or deadline.

04Permitted use and service protection

Do not attempt unauthorized access, impersonate others, distribute malware, interfere with the service, bypass access controls or rate limits, or use the service unlawfully. Security or abuse concerns may require proportionate restrictions or suspension.

These terms do not grant an unrestricted automated-access right. Any future authorized API or developer integration may have published access limits and additional terms. Ordinary public browsing and authorized integrations are distinct from harmful or unauthorized access.

05Content and source rights

Policy Eagle's branding, software, and original editorial material are distinct from legislative source records. Rights in government records and third-party materials depend on their sources and applicable licenses. Do not imply an endorsement by Policy Eagle or a source agency when reusing material.

Tracking a bill does not transfer ownership of your personal information or grant a license to publish your private interests. These terms do not include a blanket license over hypothetical future user submissions.

06Plans, changes, and availability

The current Free plan permits up to 25 active tracked bills. Pro is shown as coming soon. This agreement does not authorize a paid subscription, automatic renewal, or a payment charge. Any paid service needs its own clear checkout disclosures and applicable cancellation terms before charging begins.

Features, sources, and availability may change. Subject to mandatory rights, the service is provided as available rather than with a guarantee of uninterrupted access or complete data. We will identify material changes to account terms and request renewed acceptance when appropriate.

07Closing an account and mandatory rights

You can request account deletion through the privacy center without accepting revised terms. The Privacy Policy explains the application cleanup, provider retries, and retained deletion record. Account closure does not delete underlying legislative source records.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or a monetary liability cap.

Account age

Accounts are intended for people aged 18 or older. Contact us about suspected underage collection; an age statement does not waive applicable protections.
